BHARATHI EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY

Bharathi Educational Society was established in the year 1997 with an aim to promote quality based technical education.  Society started their activity with the promotion of B.Pharmacy Course under the name of ‘Vishwa Bharathi College of Pharmaceutical Sciences’ at Perecherla, Guntur. 

       This institution is affiliated to JNT University, Hyderabad and is recognized by Pharmacy Council of India, Government of Andhra Pradesh.  Institute is located in a spacious campus of more than 5 acres of land and is equipped with various labs having sophisticated instruments, spacious classrooms and a library with more than 3000 titles. 

        Institute also provides hostel facility to girls.  Candidates after completion of their intermediate course in Bi.P.C. and M.P.C and D.Pharmacy are eligible to join into the course and admission into the course will be on basis of EAMCET and PHARMACET rankings.

          From the beginning of the course i.e., B.Pharmacy colleges running on the roads of success that is evident in the form of total percentage of marks acquired by students, total pass percentages, presence of university rankers in the college, acquisition of ranks in GATE entrance tests to go for higher studies like M.Pharm and M.Tech., (Biotech) and getting placements in various departments of Indian and Multi National Pharmaceutical Companies.  A good percentage of students of this college after completion of their course in B.Pharm are also spread across the globe to acquire higher qualifications in Pharmacy and Ph.D. degrees.

        From the year 2003 Bharathi Educational Society has spreaded their wings and Diploma in Pharmacy was started with an intake of 60 students. Society is encouraging  the teaching faculty to attend to various quality improvement programmes conducted around the country for their updation of knowledge in the specialization of their concern.  Society also supports the teaching faculty to conduct various research projects in college that are essential to acquire their Ph.Ds.

         Vishwa Bharathi College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Perecherla, Guntur, was started in 1997 by The Bharathi Educational Society, a women driven educational society. The Society was established in 1996 with an objective to promote quality education related to health care of the society under the leadership of Late Sri O.P.Narayana and Smt. O. Shakunthala

         Vishwa Bharathi College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guntur started the B.Pharm course in 1997 and Diploma in Pharmacy course in 2003.  Under the dynamic leadership and management of Smt. O. Shakunthala, Secretary & Correspondent, the college showed a multifaceted development during the last 8 years and it is now rated as one of the Best Pharmacy colleges in Andhra Pradesh.  The college is striving to reach excellence in Pharmacy education.

Mission

           The primary mission of the college is to prepare pharmacy diploma and degree graduates for entry into a life-long career in various sectors of Pharmacy profession such as industry, education, research, drug control administration and health care services.  The college is dedicated to enhancing student success.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE COLLEGE

• The results at Universities and GATE examinations are excellent right from the inception of the college.
• The college has bagged highest ranks and percentage passes at University level. The Percentage pass at University Examination is in the range 98-100%.
• During the last 4-years (2002-2005), 30 IV/IV B.Pharm students were qualified at GATE examination with high percentile scores and got admission into PG (M.Pharm) programmes in various reputed Universities such as Andhra University, JNTU, and Dr. MGR Medical University and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka through GATE score. Several others also got admission into M.Pharm programmes in Nagarjuna University, Annamalai University and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences under Non-GATE category based on the merit at B.Pharm exminations.
• Fifteen B.Pharm graduates of this college are presently doing M.S. and Ph.D. programmes in various foreign universities such as Oklahoma State University (USA), University of Tenesse (USA), University of Aberty (UK) and University of Greenwich (UK)
• Several of the graduates of this college joined reputed Pharmaceutical Companies such as M/s. Natco Pharma Ltd., Hyderabad , Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderbad, M/s. Arabindo Pharma, Hyderabad, M/s. Arist Labs, Bangalore, M/s. Divis Laboratories, Hyderabad, M/s. Panacea Bio Tech, Hyderabad, M/s. Hetero Drugs, Hyderabad and established successful career.
• Students of the college received several Gold medals and prizes for their excellent performance in University examinations and also for their best presentations in Seminars and conferences.  Notable among them are as follows;
1. Mr. R. Shanmukhi Reddy (2/2 B.Pharm, 1998) received “Gold Medal” in Inter-University Essay Writings Competitions from Hon’ Chief Minister, of A.P. Shri N. Chandra Babu Naidu. He also received Gold medal for securing highest marks in B.Pharmacy examinations, 2001.
2. Mr. M. Murali Krishna was awarded Gold medal in 2002 for securing highest marks in B.Pharm examination by I.P.A., Vijayawada.
3. Ms. K. Nagamani was awarded Gold Medal in 2003 for securing highest marks in B.Pharmacy by IPA, Vijayawada.
4. Ms. K. Naga Jyothi Lakshmi received first prize in Scientific paper presentations at UGC sponsored National Seminar held at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam during Sept. 2003.
5. Ms. G. Kalpana was awarded Gold medal in 2004 for securing highest marks in B.Pharm examinations by IPA, Vijayawada.
6. Ms. N. Bhuvaneswari was awarded Gold Medal in 2005 for securing highest marks in B.Pharm examination by IPA, Vijayawada.
